Star Wars Battlefront is a 2015 first person shooter than places players in the roles of Rebel and Imperial troops in some of the most famous battles of the Star Wars universe. It features both ground and air combat, and is the spiritual successor to the much-loved Battlefront series.

When you talk about Battlefront, you must talk about how the game looks. The game is virtually photorealistic, and there's no doubt that this game looks more like Star Wars than anything that's come before. The combat is quick and deadly, and the power-ups can put you in the shoes (or cockpits) of some of Star Wars' most famous characters and ships. This is precisely the kind of game meant to appeal to multiplayer fans, allowing users to become part of a fairly large squad and placing the power of Star Wars' fantastic technology in their hands.

The downside, though, is that the game is empty. While Battlefront has always been known as a series with complex battles and multiple modes, this iteration is strangely limited. You'll fight on a small number of maps with the same mechanics, and you'll rarely be anywhere than on the front lines. While everything's pretty, it's also all there is - you'll get used to seeing the same sights over and over again.

Battlefront is not a bad game, but it's also not a particularly engaging game. If you've got a computer powerful enough to meet the high system requirements, you'll be greeted with some of the best visuals of this gaming generation. Even with that said, though, you may find yourself bored with the scenery quickly enough. Ultimately, Star Wars Battlefront is a game worth playing - but not one that will stick around.
